The Kool Gang
Ladies’ Night, Something Special, Let’s Go Dancing, Fresh, Joanna, Cherish….
Remember their greatest successes celebrated at the time, in the “Kool & The Gang”. With their soulful disco funk, Kool & The Gang conquered the charts since the late 70s. Their singles hiked 25 times in the Top 10, 31 times their albums reached Gold / Platinum status, and more than 100 million units sold during the band’s history.
The Kool Gang has partnered to let alive the 40-years success story. You want it to be a little quieter and forth? Then this group is just right. The formation, FOUR FOR THE BLUES interprets in traditional combo ensembles with piano, bass, drums and vocals, the most popular compositions and pearls of jazz history. Their repertoire consists of swing standards, bossa nova, ballads, blues and soul.
At the center of the formation is JANET DAWKINS from London, which is called because of its warm and soulful voice, the singer with the golden voice. JANET Dawkins is known from her performances with the Pepe Lienhard band and many other international artists. She is accompanied by Stefan Stahel on the piano, Ralph Zöbeli as a bass and tenor sax and Felix Zindel on drums.

TheGlenn Miller Orchestra
The musical legacy of Glenn Miller continues also to this day. In 1978, the orchestra director Wil Salden began his Glenn Miller studies. Wil Salden took over the panacea of Glenn Miller: “It is the dream of every bandleader or arranger to create a new sound, which can be seen after the first few bars.” This small stroke of a genius took Wil Salden build his orchestra. Here is based on the typical sound on two alto saxophones, two tenor saxophones and a clarinet. According to rumor, the Miller-Sound said to have been originated by chance. During a performance, the first trumpeter have infringed on the lip, so that the clarinet had to take over the trumpet part – so the Miller sound was born.
With the “The Very Best Of Swing” would remind Wil Salden with his star ensemble, consisting of sovereign instrumentalists and soloists, the Swing history from 1940 to the 70 / 80s. Glenn Miller also had picked up and played this music in his repertoire, if he had not come to die in 1944 on the flight from London to Paris.
