In the 1980s, Annie Lennox made pop history as one half of the duo Eurythmics with partner Dave Stewart. She then launched a highly successful solo career. Much to the regret of her many fans, however, she only recorded four of her own albums in almost twenty years: “Diva” (1992), “Medusa” (1995), “Bare” (2003) and “Songs Of Mass Destruction” ( 2007). Born in Scotland, it was more important than stardom to take care of the upbringing of her two daughters and to get involved in humanitarian causes. The rare albums were celebrated all the more vehemently by fans and critics.
Annie Lennox has sold over 80 million copies of her Eurythmics and solo albums worldwide. Her trophy case includes eight Brit Awards, four
Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award and a Billboard Century Award.
