She received her basic training as a journalist from 1984 to 1985 at the Medien-Ausbildungs-Zentrum Luzern. In the years that followed, she was an editor and presenter at the Swiss radio stations Radio Munot and Radio Z. Similar jobs followed at the stations Tele 24 and Radio 24.
She became known to a wide audience when she appeared as a presenter on the new television station TeleZüri from 1998. At the same time, she also worked there as an editor in the news department. Through this
work, she became so popular that in 1999 she joined the
Swiss windows of the broadcasters RTL and ProSieben was hired.

In 2000 she went to Schweizer Fernsehen (SF), where she worked as a moderator and editor for the Mittagsmagazin. She has moderated the since 2003
News program 10vor10 alternating with Susanne Wille and Stephan Klapproth.
