Few folk singers/songwriters have been more productive: Scottish-born Donovan has written more than 1.000 songs in the course of his musical career. With his acclaimed performance at
Newport Folk Festival 1965, the song poet, born in 1946, attracted the attention of a large audience for the first time.

His mystical, soft-voiced songs like "Sunshine Superman", "Mellow Yellow",
"Jennifer Juniper" and "Hurdy Gurdy Man" became veritable youth anthems. But “Atlantis”, probably his biggest hit, remains unforgotten.
