Born in Halifax, England, Ed Sheeran began to love his parents' record collection at the age of four and sang along to songs by Bob Dylan and Van Morrison whenever he felt like it. This did not change when the family moved to Suffolk. He was just eleven years old when he started playing the guitar. His ability to combine classic singer/songwriter skills with elements from Rap and Pop word gets around in the industry too, and in 2010 Ed signs a label deal with Atlantic Records.
The debut was an instant hit in the UK. “+” sold almost a million units in record time in his home country, making it the best-selling number one album debut by a male artist in the last ten years.
