Stefani Germanotta began playing the piano as a child and wrote his own songs as a teenager. At the age of 14 she started performing in New York... Lady GaGa - the name is derived from the hit Radio Gaga by the rock band Queen - first wrote songs for others (including the Pussycat Dolls) before she made her first release in 2008. With the debut single "Just Dance" she entered the charts internationally.

For her, it is part of her philosophy to entertain the audience through performances with "shocking" elements. This form of performance was inspired by artists such as David Bowie and Queen, who she defines as her personal art icons.
