Nutini's father is of Italian descent, but the fourth generation of the family lives in Scotland, as the mother comes from Glasgow. The family has had a diner there for many decades. Paolo Nutini was supposed to do that. But even as a student, Nutini worked in record studios and wanted to
definitely become a musician.
Shortly after his 18th birthday, Nutini signed his first major record deal with Atlantic Records and in the summer of 2006 he released his debut album These Streets, which reached number 3 in the UK charts and has since made its way into the UK
Continental Europe developed for success. Previously, two singles had already been released from May 2006, the first (These Streets) only as a free one

Nutini's new album "Sunny Side Up" was released in 2009, with which he again conquered top positions in the international charts.
