In 1992 he started working as an editor and presenter at
Daytime television TAF of Swiss television in Zurich. In 1994 he joined the team as a trainee
information magazine 'Schweiz aktuell', for which he worked as an editor and moderator from 1995. 1999
Rohr took over the management of the weekly
Political discussion program 'Arena', which he continued until 2002
moderated.

In August 2002 he became moderator of the
society magazine 'Quer'. When he was hired in March 2007, he left Swiss television. Shortly after his departure, in May 2007 Patrick Rohr the TELE audience award as 'most popular presenter in Switzerland'.
