With the release of their debut album “Strike!” in May 2009, The Baseballs ignited a pan-European baseballs mania. For weeks the band was at the top of the European charts, achieved record sales including double platinum in Switzerland and delighted the audience with their energetic live shows. The story of The Baseballs begins in Berlin in 2008, where they accidentally meet and cover songs from the 50s and 60s. They quickly discover the attraction of dressing modern songs in a rock 'n' roll guise or - to put it in the words of the band: "We take good songs and lead them to their true purpose."

The debut album “Strike!” hit like a bomb. Over the next 18 months, The Baseballs toured Europe almost non-stop, playing hundreds of concerts, performing at festivals to thousands of enthusiastic audiences and receiving numerous awards (including the EMMA AWARD in Finland for the best-selling album of the year). And almost in passing, they sold close to 1 million albums.
