Unheilig is a German band from Ochtrup. Stylistically, Unheilig ranges from Electro Pop to Neue Deutsche Härte and quiet ballads. But their roots lie in synth rock. The first album "Phosphor" still contains German and English titles. On all subsequent albums, Unheilig only released songs with German lyrics. Together with Grant Stevens and José Alvarez-Brill (Wolfsheim, Witt, De/Vision), the musician "Der Graf" laid the foundation for "Unheilig" in 1999 with the single Sage "Ja". In February 2001 the debut album Phosphor with a mixture of electronic and rock was released. In 2012 the new album "Lichter der Stadt" was released. The album went straight to number 1 in the charts.
